Vintage Starburst

Three sizes of hard-to-find vintage marquis-shaped nailheads shine in this design. These two-hole beads, originally designed to be sewn onto clothing, are faceted on the top and flat on the back. After the starburst is woven together, it is stitched to the middle of the bracelet, giving it the effect of a wrist corsage. A single crystal drop bead accents the starburst center. The bracelet is woven with Ndebele/herringbone stitch using 1.5mm Japanese cube beads. Students will learn how to weave in a buttonhole that fits over the large size nailhead used as a button.
